Job summary

Protection Strategies, Inc. (PSI) is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist - Intake to support the DHS FPS program in Springfield, VA.

The role involves initiating background investigations, collecting security documents, and ensuring accurate case materials are maintained in tracking systems. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three years of relevant security-related experience, with familiarity across security disciplines preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in one or more standard security fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates background investigations.
• Manages receipt of security documents submitted from contractor applicants.
• Verifies appropriate level of background investigation requested and ensures all documents are complete.
• Prepares, submits, and monitors case material in tracking systems.
• Applies incident management and problem solving.
• Participates in special projects.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
