Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) to support DHS FPS PSD programs. The role focuses on processing personnel security intake tasks and coordinating background investigations for contractor applicants.

Key duties include initiating investigations, handling security documents, conducting fingerprinting, and maintaining tracking systems. Candidates should have a HS diploma, 3+ years of relevant security experience, and the ability to obtain a US Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of relevant security experience.
• Experience in security or intelligence disciplines preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Initiates background investigations.
• Manages receipt of security documents from contractor applicants.
• Conducts fingerprinting procedures.
• Verifies the level of background investigation requested and ensures required documents are in each file.
• Prepares, submits, and tracks case materials in computer systems.
• Applies incident management and problem solving to tasks.
• Participates in special projects.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
