Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Security Support Specialist to aid in security assessment investigations, background checks, reinvestigations, and clearance processing. Eligibility for a clearance is required, and the role may involve a lengthy hiring process.

The candidate will conduct interviews, perform research, prepare reports, and coordinate with FBI offices to ensure compliance with federal standards and regulations. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret US government clearance required.
• Two years of experience in personnel security investigations or investigative analysis.
• Ability to critically review investigative material to discern vulnerabilities and leads.
• Experience conducting and interpreting database checks and credit reports.
• Experience performing routine office administrative support functions.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Internet research to aid investigations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Federal standards for investigations, BIs, and security.

Responsibilities

• Support security assessment investigations and provide adjudication recommendations.
• Conduct, review, and analyze interviews internal and external to the organization.
• Provide analysis and research into complex security problems and processes.
• Prepare written reports and oral presentations with critical thinking.
• Coordinate with FBI Field Offices and HQ for investigations.
• Recommend polygraph exams and related communications to HQ/FOs.
• Summarize data and prepare formal analyses of security concerns and resolutions.
• Maintain liaison with FBI divisions and other agencies to resolve queries.
