Job summary

Gjelina Group in New York City is hiring servers to join our team. The Server is the main point of contact for guest interaction, delivering a fine dining experience with knowledge of our cocktails, wine list, and menu.

You will maintain high standards of service, communicate clearly with staff, and support events and shifts to ensure guest satisfaction. We offer a structured environment with training, opportunities to learn the menu, and the chance to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Must be organized, customer-focused and proactive.
• Full knowledge of all in-house food and beverage menus.
• Ability to use all relevant equipment and the restaurant POS system.
• Understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and assisting management or colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Report for duty on time and clock in.
• Manage time, breaks, and adherence to labor law.
• Maintain appearance, hygiene and minimal fragrance.
• Adhere to health, safety and sanitation protocols.
• Know regular guests and build rapport with new guests.
• Organize and maintain server stations and stations cleanliness.
• Communicate clearly with service staff and management.
• Prepare floors for openings/closings and restocking.
• Attend to guest needs and handle orders through POS.
• Serve food and drinks and clear tables during service.
• Complete side work before and after shifts.
• Attend trainings and pre-shift meetings.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of cocktails, wine, and menu ingredients.
