Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab in Austin, TX seeks a Professional Fine Dining Prep Cook to support high-volume kitchen operations with precision and hospitality. You will follow recipes, maintain quality, and uphold sanitation standards while collaborating with a dedicated culinary team.

The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork in a luxury dining environment, with opportunities for growth and continued culinary education through the company’s program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (helpful but not required)
• Former culinary schooling preferred
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar capacity

Responsibilities

• Check with supervisor on duty for that shift’s prep schedule
• Use recipe book for batch, process, and portion prep
• Read recipe before starting
• Weigh and measure all ingredients
• Ice bath hot recipes before storing and store in walk‑in with lid cracked
• Immediately refrigerate all items prepared
• Clean as you go and use clean food storage containers
• Date label and rotate product
• Assume responsibility for freshness and quality of items prepared
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures
• Check with the Leader on Duty regarding condition of prep, storage of items and cleanliness of prep area
• Pass all general and departmental tests with 90% grade or greater
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Chef/Sous Chef or Leadership Team
• Keep clean and professional appearance
• Work with teamwork always in mind
