Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab in Austin is seeking a Professional Fine Dining Prep Cook. You will follow recipes, batch prep, and ensure freshness and quality on a high-volume line.

You must be able to stand for long hours, lift up to 40 pounds, and work with a team to maintain sanitation and efficiency. The role offers competitive hourly pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Must be able to stand for 9 hours and lift at least 40 pounds.
• Follow all recipes and systems with professionalism and teamwork.
• Three years’ culinary experience in high-volume environments are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check prep schedule with supervisor on duty.
• Use recipe books for batch, process, and portion prep.
• Read recipes before starting and weigh ingredients.
• Ice bath hot recipes before storing and manage walk-in storage.
• Refrigerate items promptly and maintain sanitation.
• Keep storage containers clean and properly labeled.
• Rotate products and ensure freshness and quality.
• Follow all sanitation procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist leadership and work with the team to deliver results.
