Qualifications

• 2–3+ years' experience in a fine-dining, upscale casual, or scratch-kitchen environment.
• Strong understanding of professional cooking techniques and culinary terminology.
• Solid knife skills and familiarity with precise prep work.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen organization.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during high-pressure service periods.
• Team-oriented, coachable, and able to take direction with a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and listening).
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-driven with problem-solving skills on the line.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of scratch meal preparation, cooking, and plate presentation with a fine-dining standard in mind.
• Maintain a well-organized, clean, and fully stocked station, using proper batch-cooking methods and accurate time/temperature logs.
• Follow detailed recipes, flavor profiles, plating standards, and portion guidelines as set by the Executive Chef.
• Demonstrate culinary technique across knife skills, ingredient prep, sautéing, roasting, grilling, and classic methods.
• Uphold high standards for station organization and prep readiness throughout service.
• Monitor inventory levels and complete order sheets to maintain proper food and supply par levels.
