Max Downtown in Hartford, CT, part of Max Hospitality, seeks a skilled Line Cook with open availability to join our fine-dining culinary team. You will perform prep and line work across stations, ensure consistency and plating precision, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of line cook experience in a fine-dining or upscale casual setting, excellent knife skills, a strong work ethic, and knowledge of food safety.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of line cook experience
• Experience in a fine-dining or upscale casual kitchen preferred
• Able to work lunch and dinner service
• Proficient knife skills and knowledge of food safety standards

Responsibilities

• Execute prep and line work for lunch and dinner service across multiple stations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
• Follow recipes and plating specifications to ensure consistency
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and sous chefs to ensure smooth service
• Assist with daily prep tasks and proper rotation/storage of ingredients
