Job summary

Beefbar, an upscale dining venue in New York, is seeking a diligent Stocker to keep kitchen and bar stocked and organized. You will receive deliveries, stock shelves, rotate stock (FIFO), monitor levels, and assist with inventory counts while maintaining sanitation standards.

The role requires 2–3 years in inventory management, knowledge of food safety, strong organization, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible scheduling including mornings, nights, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of inventory management or stocking experience, preferably in a restaurant.
• Knowledge of food safety and proper storage techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack incoming deliveries, verifying accuracy and quality.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and storage areas with incoming products.
• Rotate stock to ensure FIFO inventory management.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory counts.
• Ensure proper labeling and dating of all stored items.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to understand stocking needs.
• Assist in maintaining par levels for all supplies.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with other departments as needed during busy periods.
