Job summary

The Yardley Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is a high volume and fine dining restaurant seeking experienced and team-oriented candidates for the Host/Hostess position. This is a Part‑Time position. Candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.

The Yardley Inn will monitor dining sections, estimate wait times, and keep guests informed while they wait. You will answer calls, book reservations, and move tables to accommodate large parties, then escort guests to their

Responsibilities

• Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
• Estimate wait times for guests and review guest waiting list.
• While guests are waiting, make sure they are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times.
• Responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.
• When table is available, host/hostess escorts the guests to the dining room.
• Once seated, host/hostess ensures to fill the drink order and give the information to the responsible food server.
