Job summary

The Yardley Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is seeking an experienced host/hostess for a part-time role in a high-volume, fine‑dining environment. The position requires weekday/weekend/holiday availability and a strong guest‑service focus.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing reservations, guiding guests to tables, coordinating with servers, and ensuring timely seating and accurate wait information. Join a team committed to exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

Candidate must have experience in host/hostess in fine dining or high-volume settings.
Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
Ability to manage reservations and seating flow.

Responsibilities

Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
Estimate wait times for guests and review guest waiting list.
While guests are waiting, make sure they are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times.
Answer the telephone, book reservations and move tables together to accommodate large parties.
When a table is available, host/hostess escorts the guests to the dining room.
Once seated, host/hostess ensures to fill the drink order and give the information to the responsible food server.
