Job summary

The Yardley Inn in the United States seeks an experienced, team‑oriented Host/Hostess for a Part-Time position. The role requires flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays and to manage guest waiting lists and seating logistics.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, answering phones, booking reservations, monitoring dining sections for availability, and guiding guests to their seats while coordinating with servers to ensure smooth service.

• Estimate wait times for guests and review guest waiting list.
• While guests are waiting, make sure they are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their orders or wait times.
• Responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.
• When table is available, host/hostess escorts the guests to the dining room.
• Once seated, host/hostess ensures to fill the drink order and give the information to the responsible food server.

Job description

The Yardley Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is a high volume and fine dining restaurant seeking experienced and team-oriented candidates for the Host/Hostess position. This is a Part-Time position. Candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
