Job summary

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a friendly server to coordinate between servers and kitchen, bring meals to patrons, and perform side duties as assigned.

The role supports a busy dining room in a renowned coastal club with oceanfront dining and guest standards. Qualifying candidates will have a year-long certificate or related experience, excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, or 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Previous experience as a bus person or food runner is a plus.
• Must obtain and maintain San Diego County Food Handlers Card and RBS certification.

Responsibilities

• Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and bars.
• Ensure dishes are garnished according to standards.
• Observe diners and respond to additional requests; determine when meal is complete.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables after each course.
• Perform side duties and close duties as assigned by supervisor.
