Job summary

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. seeks an energetic server/food runner to coordinate with the kitchen for timely service and to assist guests throughout their dining experience. You will help with garnishing, clearing, and resetting tables while upholding Signature Service standards.

Experience in fine dining and a willingness to obtain required San Diego County certifications are preferred. This role supports a fast-paced, guest-focused environment with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or related experience.
• Prior food service experience, especially as a bus person or food runner, is preferred.
• Experience in a fine dining restaurant is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow service standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and bars.
• Ensure dishes are garnished correctly and respond to guest requests.
• Clear and reset tables, assist with side duties, and maintain service flow.
• Obtain and maintain San Diego County Food Handlers and RBS certifications.
