Job summary

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. is seeking a Banquet Server to assist in room setup per banquet orders and to serve meals to guests with attentive, friendly service.

You will be responsible for maintaining presentation standards, pouring beverages, and supporting kitchen and dining staff in a fast-paced event environment. Qualifications include a one-year certificate or related experience, and you must hold a Food Handlers Card and an RBS certification.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have and maintain a current Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in set up of rooms according to banquet event orders.
• Be ready and dressed with name tag 15 min prior to event start.
• All beverages will be poured prior to guests' requests for refill.
• Serves patrons from chaffing dish at buffet.
• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Ladles soup, tosses salads, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by particular banquet practices.
• Clears and breaks down banquet area as required.
• Responsible for performing any closing procedures as directed by Captain.
