Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) seeks a Catering Attendant at the Bismarck Event Center to deliver high-quality food and beverage service during events. You will coordinate with kitchen and event staff, ensure guest needs are anticipated, and uphold service standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting and standing for shifts, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and a professional, guest-focused demeanor to enhance the event experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often (8 entrees per tray).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be punctual with consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands banquet event orders.
• Provides fine-dining-level food and beverage service to guests for all events, consistent with standards of service.
• Initiates and maintains friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring needs are anticipated and met.
• Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building.
• Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations.
• Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
• Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
• Works independently during slower times.
• Performs safe work by helping to create a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintains a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude.
