Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is hiring for an Event Security team member at the Bismarck Event Center. As part of the Security Manager's team, you will help ensure the safety of employees, tenants, and guests, while delivering friendly, attentive service.

This part‑time position pays $15.00–$20.00 per hour. Shifts include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and benefits include 401(k) savings and matching; apply to join a dynamic live entertainment operation in central North Dakota.

Qualifications

• Active State Guard Certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in Event Security preferred.
• Flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests.
• Possess a positive attitude and facilitate teamwork and respect among co-workers.
• Welcome guests, provide directions, and answer questions.
• Monitor, patrol, and secure areas of the arena and check credentials.
• Provide assistance to guests with special needs or wheelchair access.
• Resolve guest complaints quickly and exceed guests' expectations.
• Enforce building policies and event procedures.
• Maintain order and ensure crowd safety.
• Assist and direct guests in emergencies.
• Perform wanding and monitor entry with metal detectors.
• Communicate efficiently with co-workers/supervisors.
• Follow incident procedures and document when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
