Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in the United States is seeking a dedicated Cook II to prepare meals, maintain kitchen sanitation, and support inventory and menu development on a dynamic restaurant team. You will follow recipes, store food properly, and uphold quality standards while collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of cook experience, a culinary degree preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of previous cook experience, preferably in fine dining.
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate cooking skills.
• Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.
• Strong communication skills for training and safety purposes with guests and colleagues.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all restaurant recipes.
• Use product according to guidelines.
• Properly store and zone all food items.
• Assist in inventory preparation with daily walkthrough and walking in & dry storage.
• Maintain all quality standards per checklist.
• Communicate repair and maintenance needs to management.
• Assist in menu development per change checklist.
• Keep prep station clean and organized.
