Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• 1-2 years restaurant experience.
• High school education or GED.
• Two years experience in a fine dining restaurant or resort.
• Culinary school preferred.
• Basic math functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up work station per shift and gather needed tools.
• Prepare meat, fish, poultry and other items.
• Cook food orders immediately as they arrive and read tickets carefully.
• Operate stoves, grills, fryers, broilers, and other utensils.
• Keep stations clean during preparation and service.
• Adhere to health department regulations.
• Rotate and store all food items properly and label accordingly.
• Inform Chef of any abnormalities in food quality.
• Complete opening and closing duties and tidy station.
• Prepare employee meals when needed.
• Prepare recipes as outlined by the Sous Chef or Chef.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Sous Chef or Chef.
