Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Personal Banker in the branch to engage clients, uncover needs, and provide guidance to financial wellness both in person and by phone. You will attract new clients and deepen relationships with existing ones, delivering tailored recommendations and building trust through strong service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of sales and client relationship experience, and proficiency with Windows and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources.
• Understanding of consumer credit - including loan to value, debt to income and credit reports.
• Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
• Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact-finding questions.
• Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence.
• Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel).
• Working knowledge of digital technology and ability to educate clients on digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day.
• Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during conversations and provide tailored recommendations.
• Consistently attains activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations.
• Opening personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, CDs, etc.).
• Developing strong partnerships with branch teammates and partners to focus on client acquisition.
• Ensuring compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures including documentation of client interactions.
• Support of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line.
• Participate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
• Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties may change.
