Job summary

Coosa Valley Credit Union in the United States is seeking a Financial Services Officer II to manage loan processing, oversee teller functions, and lead the Member Services team at the Main location. The role drives branch growth while ensuring compliance with policies and strong member relations.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, approving teller actions within limits, mentoring staff, and coordinating with branch leadership to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years banking experience required.
• 3-5 years cash handling experience required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of loan processing and product sales to meet branch goals in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Oversee teller functions including vault management, daily branch fund balancing, and inventory of supplies.
• Approve or override teller transactions within limits; cash checks, verify identity, confirm funds availability.
• Perform teller transactions as needed to support branch operations.
• Lead the Member Services team and mentor staff to deliver excellent service and branch growth.
• Partner with branch leadership to optimize performance and model best practices.
• Ensure teller functions are accurate and secure, balancing at least 150 transactions per day with 98% accuracy.
• Maintain accurate balancing records and resolve discrepancies per Credit Union standards.
• Manage teller schedules and branch workflow to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster positive member relationships and handle inquiries professionally (in-person, phone, email).
• Maintain strong relationships with team and management; assist other staff as needed.
• Uphold professional reputation and maintain appropriate records and documentation.
• Light travel to branch locations or trainings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
