San Diego County Credit Union is seeking a Financial Service Representative I to help members open accounts, secure loans, and deepen relationships with our trusted products and services. The focus is on delivering prompt, accurate information and an exceptional member experience.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of banking or related experience, solid communication skills, and basic MS Office proficiency. This is a full-time role in the San Diego area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of banking experience or 2 years of finance-related experience, or 6 months SDCCU member-facing experience.
• Ability to identify and promote products and services to meet members' needs.
• General knowledge of Credit Union loan policies preferred.
• Strong professional communication and organizational skills.
• College level math and financial calculation skills.
• Basic MS Office skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Interview members to determine financial needs and recommend products and services.
• Identify and refer products/services to meet member needs and participate in campaigns and outreach.
• Accurately record and track member interactions, referrals and sales.
• Provide exceptional service; resolve inquiries by phone and in person.
• Prepare documentation for new accounts, loans and card issuance, ensuring compliance.
• Ensure loan files are complete with comments and terms, and relay loan decisions.
