Job summary

Shell Federal Credit Union is seeking a full-time banking professional to join our Fulshear/Katy area branch. You will provide friendly member service, explain financial services, and assist with account openings, changes, and problem resolution.

The role requires knowledge of banking regulations, strong numeracy and communication skills, and the ability to work a rotating schedule including Saturdays. Join a team committed to member service and growth.

Qualifications

• Three years of direct Credit Union/Banking or retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Desire to accept additional responsibilities within branch operations.
• Positive, member-service oriented attitude; anticipate member needs and assist accordingly.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
• Accurate numeracy and attention to detail.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of credit union products, services, and promotions.
• Ability to work in an open-concept workspace/environment.

Responsibilities

• Consistently meet Shell FCU service commitments and uphold the Shell FCU Employee Creed and service distinctions.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with applicable rules and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Complete annual training sessions as scheduled.
• Provide friendly, professional, and personal service to all members.
• Assist members with financial service needs; explain services, open/maintain/close accounts, and address issues.
• Cross-sell Credit Union products based on member needs.
• Work 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed; rotating opening, closing, and Saturdays.
• Assist management with greeter desk duties and greeter responsibilities as needed.
• Interview, originate, and process loan applications; follow up on documentation and final decisions; coordinate with Underwriters.
• Assist the team with daily branch responsibilities and meet/exceed personal and branch goals.
• Maintain confidentiality of member information and security of data.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments; Shell FCU Employee Creed and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
• Accountable to maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Complete annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
• Perform job duties and responsibilities in compliance to Shell FCU policies, procedures, philosophy, and standards of performance.
• Provide friendly, professional, and personal service to all members.
• Assist members and potential members with their financial service needs; explain services, open, maintain & close accounts, offer solutions to member issues, respond to problems, and direct members to the appropriate team members when further assistance is needed.
• Work 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed.
• Work rotating opening, closing, and Saturday schedule as needed.
• Assist management with covering the greeter desk and performing greeter responsibilities as needed.
• Be well versed in all Credit Union products and services.
• Assist members with service needs related to change of address, issue/maintenance of ATM & debit cards, check orders, safe deposit box, notary services, assistance with Bill Pay, Digital Banking.
• Process disputes, wires, stop payments, check copies, address changes, check orders and statement requests.
• Maintain confidentiality of member information.
• Keep member and Credit Union information secure at all times.
• Cross-sell Credit Union products and services based on member needs.
• Answer and greet all incoming Credit Union calls professionally and courteously.
• Assist in training new FSRs as needed.
• Interview, originate, and process all member loan applications; provide member appropriate follow‑up of their application and the final loan decision; prepare, review, and/or follow up on all required loan documents for completeness, compliance, and accuracy for submission to Underwriters.
• Take initiative to assist with problem solving, troubleshooting and provide support in all areas of the branch as needed.
• Meet/exceed personal and branch goals.
• Assist the team with daily responsibilities such as following opening and closing procedures; daily balancing of the coin machine, vault, ATM, and card machine; closing SDB vault; willingness to assist the team at other branch locations if needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend and stand. May at times be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 55 pounds.
