Job Details

Job Location: Fulshear - Katy, TX 77494. Position Type: Part Time. Job Category: Banking.

Shift Hours

• Monday‑Friday: 1PM to 6:30PM or 2PM to 7:30PM
• Saturday: 7AM to 1PM

Responsibilities

• Engage with members, complete financial transactions, and offer products and services to enhance members’ financial lives.
• Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments, Employee Creed, and Service Distinctions.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable rules and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Complete required annual training sessions as instructed.
• Perform duties in compliance with Shell FCU policies, procedures, philosophy, and performance standards.
• Provide friendly, professional, and personal service to all members.
• Work rotating opening, closing, and Saturday schedule as needed.
• Receive and process member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cash advances, Western Union transactions, and coin tickets.
• Operate within assigned Teller I limits.
• Prepare CTR & SAR worksheets as required.
• Monitor and prevent fraud by understanding Shell FCU practices and procedures.
• Handle cash and daily balance cash drawer; investigate and resolve out‑of‑balance conditions immediately.
• Assist with cash/coin shipments and orders for the branch.
• Assist in training new staff and in the development of team members.
• Help members with service needs such as change of address, ATM and debit card maintenance, check orders, and safe deposit box.
• Cross‑sell Credit Union products and services based on member needs.
• Comply with all log procedures (dual control, vault sales, night drop, mail log).
• Take initiative to solve problems and provide support in all branch areas as needed.
• Meet or exceed personal and branch goals.
• Assist the team with opening and closing procedures, daily balancing of machines, and closing the SDB vault.
• Assist the team at other branch locations if needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience: Six months of cash handling practice through direct Credit Union/Banking or retail experience preferred.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Must possess professional verbal communication skills, accuracy with numbers, and ability to work within an open‑concept environment.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Regularly required to bend, stand, and sometimes lift or carry up to 15 pounds. Exposure to potential hazardous conditions such as robbery; employees receive detailed instructions and procedures to minimize risk.
