Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. is launching an Accelerator Program to train Financial Representative Trainees. You will learn to sell Individual Insurance and build a holistic financial practice through mentorship and hands-on projects.

You’ll complete licensing requirements, travel up to 50% locally, and progress toward becoming an independent Financial Advisor within roughly 24 months with education-based support and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must obtain insurance licenses prior to starting, up to two attempts for Life & Health exam.
• CRD/FINRA background check required at hire and ongoing; securities licensing within 24 months of entry.
• Travel up to 50% of time within the local metro area.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a comprehensive program to develop skills for holistic financial advice.
• Contribute to classroom discussions, goal setting, and progress evaluations.
• Gain direct sales experience marketing Individual Insurance products and pass a sales process competency test.
• Cultivate prospecting skills via research, targeting, networking, and social media.
• Acquire deep understanding of product offerings and their features/benefits.
• Oversee content, proposals, and paperwork flow through field and Home Office for smooth underwriting.
