This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insights into the company's financial performance. You will work with financial data, prepare reports for management and stakeholders, and may assist with internal audits and tax filings.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare Financial Statements: Create income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
2. Analyze Financial Data: Examine financial data to identify trends, make forecasts, and assess the company's financial health.
3. Reconcile Accounts: Verify the accuracy of financial records, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
4. Prepare Reports and Presentations: Communicate financial information to management, investors, and other stakeholders.
5. Ensure Compliance: Adhere to GAAP and relevant regulations.
6. Internal Controls: Assist with implementing and monitoring SOX internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
7. Support Audit Processes: Work with internal and external auditors to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
8. Assist with Tax Filings: Help prepare tax returns and related paperwork as needed.
9. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes and systems.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Background

• Education: Bachelor's in accounting or a related field required; CPA or master's preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years in a management role in a related field; Big 4 experience a plus.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and relevant regulations; IFRS experience a plus.

Location: Houston, TX. Hybrid role with up to 3 days in the office weekly, plus periodic trips to other locations for team meetings.
