Overview

We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Financial Reporting Analyst to join our growing team.

Position Summary

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Primary point of contact for Department Managers in providing financial leadership, management, coordination, training, and oversight for all areas of Budget Performance, Analysis, Planning, and Reporting. Manage, train, and develop the Financial Analyst and/or Staff Accountant to support all Finance & Accounting, including FP&A ad hoc responsibilities.

Other Responsibilities

• Develop Overhead Budgeting & Reporting associated with all annual budgeting and estimating (LE) requirements. Manage LE development process for ongoing budget management towards achieving OVHD, GM, and variable sales targets.
• Create partnership w/ Department Managers and key Contributors in managing, analyzing, and monitoring Overhead & variable sales expenses vs. budget.
• Responsible for Monthly Close & Corporate Monthly Reporting with detailed analytical support as needed.
• Responsible for review, implementation, and training of new software for analytical use.
• Providing clear direction and leadership w/ Monthly reporting, software utilization, S&OP OVHD preparation, and ultimately recommendations toward corrective actions and support of key business decisions to internal Financial colleagues as well as external business partners (ie. Department Managers).
• Requirement to investigate, gather, and evaluate disparate pieces of information regarding the business, identify financial implementations, and ultimately communicate results w/ proactive recommendations for improvement. Providing such insights in context of business issues and opportunities does not involve a pre-existing or well-defined process, so finding efficient ways of problem solving requests relative to sales and cost control objectives is a typical prerequisite.
• Financial evaluation and analysis relative to prior year and budget achievement is a typical request in this role. In the same way, identifying trends and proactively informing Finance partners of risks, opportunities, and insights towards margin improvement and cost reduction is also a common decision made towards helping achieve business objectives.
• Effectively leveraging and ultimately improving the team’s resources and system tools is required to better manage and analyze the business. Furthermore, mastering internal processes but also exploring avenues for improvement and standardization creates ways to be more efficient and meet the business needs.

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a Business/Finance discipline.
• 5 or more years of experience in finance role.
• Demonstrated expertise in predicative modeling of profit and expense performance to provide management with clear insights.
• Experience with managing & communicating P&L performance specifically identifying performance and expense management improvements by influencing key business leaders.
• Demonstrated expertise in analytical evaluation of internal and external data.
• Demonstrated expertise with analysis tools such as Microsoft applications, SAP based tools such as BI, Every Angel, and Tagetik.
• Understanding of CPG industry including sales and marketing go to market concepts.
• A high level of understanding with complex ERP systems.
• A high aptitude for selecting, implementing and integrating complex system and analytical tools.
