NewtekOne is looking to add a Financial Reporting Analyst to its team!

The Financial Reporting Analyst will play a critical role in the company's SEC Reporting and technical Accounting Functions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Assist with the financial reporting process - both external and internal.
• Assist with authoring SEC filings including 10-Q and 10-K, including preparing MD&A analysis and drafting footnote language.
• Complete a tie-out of all numbers including reviewing supporting schedules and partnering with business leaders for further review.
• Ensure all reporting is free from any footing/cross-footing or typographical errors.
• Prepare elimination entries for inter-company transactions to accurately present consolidated financial statements.
• Assist with standalone audits of subsidiaries.
• Manage audit requests to ensure deliverables are provided and questions are resolved timely.
• Operate in compliance with SOX guidelines and provide support for controls testing to internal/external auditors.
• Compare actual results to budgets and perform variance analysis.
• Suggest process improvements in order to create efficiencies and reduce timeframes for deliverables in the financial close and reporting processes.
• Assist in cross-training for key processes to help ensure consistency.
• Partner with other teams / departments on special projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 1-3 years of Public Accounting and/or Private Industry experience, preferably with a public company
• Solid analytical and research skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized and able to juggle competing priorities

Education & Certification Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually
