Job summary

The Portfolio Analyst at Banc of California, Inc. analyzes borrower performance, identifies deviations, and raises credit concerns to the portfolio team.

You will develop an understanding of clients’ operating performance and build strong relationships with internal and external partners. You will conduct financial analyses, validate compliance with loan agreements, support underwriting modifications, and help maintain data integrity across internal systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
• Ability to analyze financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Strong Excel and Word skills; attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of borrowers’ credit and collateral.
• Validate borrower compliance with the Loan & Security Agreement.
• Perform financial, operational, valuation, and transactional analyses.
• Assist with underwriting modifications and renewals; present deals to credit committee.
• Maintain integrity of financial data in internal bank systems.
• Collaborate with portfolio management teams to understand performance.
• Travel to client sites.
• Follow all established policies and procedures.
