Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. is seeking a Senior Credit/Portfolio Analyst to deliver financial, credit, and trend analysis for middle market clients. You will monitor covenant compliance, collateral, and credit deterioration, and structure credit requests for approval by Credit Administration.

The role requires strong real estate lending knowledge and the ability to interpret complex loan documentation, with opportunities to guide and develop a credit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5+ years lending or portfolio management experience.
• Strong knowledge of real estate lending, construction/bridge experience preferred.
• Understanding of credit policies, risk management, and cash flow analysis.
• Ability to interpret complex loan documentation and collateral perfection.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary credit contact for borrowers and maintain ongoing relationship engagement.
• Review loan agreements, guarantees, and credit documentation.
• Review, approve, and process loan advances with Loan Servicing.
• Monitor reporting, performance covenants, and risk margin changes.
• Prepare quarterly risk reviews and portfolio assessments.
• Coach and develop team members in portfolio management.
