Job Title: Manager of FP&A

Location: Remote (DFW Metroplex – must be available for in-office meetings a few times per quarter)

Our client is a dynamic, private equity-backed company poised for continued expansion. They are seeking a strategic and analytical Manager of FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis and play a key role in shaping financial strategy and performance. This is a high-visibility role offering the opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.

Position Overview

The Manager of FP&A will lead core FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic reporting. This role will directly manage a small team and partner cross-functionally with business leaders and private equity stakeholders. Ideal candidates will bring strong financial acumen, leadership experience, and a track record of success in high-growth or PE-backed environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of two FP&A professionals; set goals, manage performance, and foster growth.
  • Financial Planning: Own the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, aligning financial plans with business strategy.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze operating results and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages for senior leadership, board members, and investors.
  • Business Partnership: Support department leaders with financial insights, budget accountability, and strategic planning.
  • Scenario Modeling: Build and run scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline FP&A processes and leverage tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Private Equity Engagement: Serve as a key liaison with PE sponsors, delivering insights into business drivers and financial trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in a PE-backed or high-growth business
  • Prior experience managing direct reports
  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting capabilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion)
  • Strong presentation skills and executive communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset
  • Must be based in the DFW metro area and able to attend in-office meetings periodically

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $155,000 – $170,000, plus annual performance bonus
