Financial Planner - Retirement Solutions

This role will cover the state of Indiana and will require some small amount of travel each month. This is a fully remote position, but living within the territory is required.

This position does require a CFP along with the Series 6, 63, & 65 (7 & 66) licenses.

Job Description Summary

As a Financial Planner, you'll support Registered Representatives and Investment Advisor Representatives by utilizing approved software to produce needs assessments and financial plans, in writing, to drive a consistent sales process/client experience and assist in identifying additional cross-sell opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Advise customers and sales representatives on retirement income plan development, explaining product features and administrative procedures, and making recommendations for new products when applicable.
  • Review and prepare comprehensive financial plans and needs assessments using approved financial planning software.
  • Develop alternatives and recommendations, and present plans to clients.
  • Partner with Sales to monitor open proposals and drive outcomes.
  • Conduct producer training both in the corporate office and in the field.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and coordinate with relevant departments to maintain adherence to laws and policies.
  • Gather marketing intelligence and research complex technical questions related to products, tax issues, Social Security, and retirement concerns.
  • Conduct retirement planning seminars virtually and in person as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of legal changes affecting investments, retirement plans, and insurance products.
  • Serve as a technical resource for retiree marketing efforts.
  • Keep detailed records of customer interactions and recommendations per regulations.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance.
  • FINRA Series 6, 63, & 65 licenses, and Certified Financial Planner designation required.
  • At least two years of experience in financial planning within the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of financial planning software such as Profiles or Money Guide Pro.
  • Understanding of investment products and client service strategies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, research, and multi-tasking skills.
Additional Information

Must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. The role involves normal office conditions with occasional travel. A background and credit check are required due to fiduciary responsibilities.
