Bright Harbor seeks a Financial Operations Associate to consolidate finance and compliance operations. You will own close, expense management, payroll, forecasts, AR, equity records, and multi-state registrations. Work with a fractional CFO and outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years in finance or accounting at an operating company or startup finance team.
• Fluency with the modern startup finance tools: QuickBooks, Ramp, Mercury, Justworks, Carta.
• The ability to analyze the numbers, not just produce them; you can read the P&L and flag issues.
• Strong ownership and initiative; you move things forward without being told what to do.
• Exceptional accuracy, efficiency and organization in how you work.
• Comfort managing a compliance calendar and keeping details current across multiple states.
• Desire to grow into a finance leadership role and take on more responsibility.
• Genuine care for the mission.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and deliver clean, accurate numbers each month with our fractional CFO advising.
• Manage expenses on Ramp, review charges, categorize and allocate for client reports.
• Run payroll through our PEO accurately and on schedule.
• Track forecasts weekly to give leadership visibility into financial happenings.
• Manage accounts receivable: issue invoices, monitor and follow up on payments.
• Manage equity and cap table management on Carta.
• Own multi-state registration and contract execution across required systems.
• Maintain a centralized procurement tracker and coordinate with sales for compliance.
• Build and maintain systems and calendars to keep finances running reliably.
• Grow into deeper ownership of finance operations and strategy over time.
