Job summary

The Accounting & Financial Operations Analyst role in Schaumburg, IL offers hybrid work and a pathway to deeply understand our finance processes. You will investigate discrepancies, reconcile payments, and collaborate with outside partners to ensure accurate remittance and records.

You will work closely with the VP of Finance on projects, learn the business from the ground up, and gradually take on more responsibility as you become an expert in our accounting workflows and systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and hands-on QuickBooks
• Strong Excel skills and system learning ability
• Enjoy reconciliations, research, and solving discrepancies
• Able to connect numbers across sources and identify root causes

Responsibilities

• Research invoices, orders, payments, and financial transactions to determine where discrepancies occurred
• Reconcile expected payments against what was actually received
• Investigate missing or incorrect commission payments and determine the reason behind the difference
• Identify whether an issue originated internally or with outside partners
• Communicate with manufacturers, vendors and business partners by email and phone to research and resolve issues
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation throughout the process
• Enter and maintain order and accounting information in QuickBooks and internal systems
• Use Excel to analyze, compare, and track financial information
• Process invoices and other accounting transactions as needed
• Work directly with the VP of Finance on accounting projects and problem-solving
• Take ownership of issues and follow through until they are resolved
