Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas seeks an Accountant II to support fiscal operations within the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. The role reports to the Financial Analyst and handles account maintenance, reconciliations, service center billing, external revenue collections, and budget analyses to optimize financial planning.

Minimum education includes a Bachelor's in accounting or related field with at least 2 years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; Two (2) years experience in governmental or commercial accounting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; 1-3 years in finance or accounting with data analytics and financial analysis preferred; 3-5 years using PeopleSoft Financials.

Responsibilities

• Apply data analytics to provide budget and resource assessments.
• Prepare complex financial reports for forecasting and trend analysis.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations with summary reports.
• Process internal billing for monthly Service Center usage.
• Track collections and accounts receivable for external sales invoices.
• Maintain appropriate internal controls to ensure compliance and integrity of University resources.
