Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Accountant II for Centralized Receivables on the UT Main Campus. You will reconcile receivables to accounting balances, assist with monthly closings, and support departments with billing issues.

Strong Excel, reporting, and analytical skills are required, along with experience in governmental or commercial accounting. This is a hybrid role aligned with UT Austin's benefits and work-life programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field and relevant experience.
• Experience in governmental or commercial accounting is preferred.
• Strong financial reporting and analysis skills.
• Proficiency with databases and report writing tools.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile Centralized Receivables to Accounting balances monthly and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze aging debt and monthly close related tasks.
• Provide customer support for university departments on billing and receivables.
• Assist with routine daily reconciliations and reporting using IQ Author/Cognos/DEFINE.
• Collaborate with Cash Management and other SAR areas as needed.
