Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso is seeking an Accountant for Student Business Services in El Paso. You will reconcile ledgers, prepare journal entries, and maintain sponsor modules to ensure accurate application of accounts receivable to student accounts.

Responsibilities include auditing student accounts, reviewing tuition assessments and payment plans, and providing customer service to students, staff and faculty regarding billing and refunds.

Qualifications

• Education as stated: accounting/finance degree.
• Two years of relevant accounting experience required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Accounting and bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and compile monthly reconciliation reports.
• Assist with reviewing tuition and fee assessments and payment plans.
• Audit student accounts to ensure accuracy of charges and payments.
• Create and maintain sponsor modules to apply accounts receivable to student accounts.
