Leidos is seeking a Financial Manager to join our SCITES 2 team in Doral, FL.

The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently is looking for a Financial Manager to work onsite in Doral, Florida and have the opportunity to work in a high-profile IT and Cyber Services program supporting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 contract. Our customer maintains a highly demanding mission and requires our support to provide expert technical and professional management support to the commands enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. The Financial Manager will provide direct support to the Program Manager and PMO and play a critical role in the successful execution of the program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze spending patterns and develop effective financial forecasts and financial plans for the program and various projects.

  • Tracking and reporting financial information to the program office, the customer, and other stakeholders.

  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and customer team members so that correct, accurate, and updated information is given and received in a timely fashion for successful execution of budget and project objectives.

  • Use best practices and innovation to influence solution design, process and/or approaches within the department, the command, and the contract programs. Solutions and communication will be timely and documentation will be updated regularly to respond to quick-turn requests.

  • Demonstrate expertise with coordinating the set-up, tracking, management, execution, and reporting of various types of funding.

  • Demonstrate elevated understanding of the different uses and limitations of funding.

  • Demonstrate understanding of proposal financial requirements and processes and advise the program office on proposal budget development, correct completion and submission of proposal budgets, and provide support to the program office during financial negotiations.

  • Create and maintain documentation for the set-up, execution, monitoring, reporting, and analysis of appropriated funds.

  • Advise on the allocation of funds to labor, travel, contracts, equipment, and other necessary project costs and develop necessary documents reflecting allocation plans, and transferring funds as required.

  • Advise on the coverage of all project costs to include ensuring payment of all project expenses such as labor, overhead costs (e.g. administration costs and seat rates), travel, and purchases, and develop necessary documentation for each.

  • Conduct continuous review and reporting of status of funds to the program office on a regular basis, analyze the status of funds, make adjustments to plans when necessary, estimate future funding requirements and report this information to the program office.

  • Examine project budget documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.

  • Effectively communicate with the program office and other appropriate leadership to reconcile financial discrepancies and provide reports and documentation to these groups as requested.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; independently provide solutions to stakeholders.

  • Serve as manager of direct reports, providing guidance, tasking, and delegation of duties to staff, developing performance assessments and goal plans, and will model Leidos mission, vision, and values at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Must be a US Citizen and possess a secret security clearance.

  • Proven experience in program financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Strong understanding of contract types (e.g., CPFF, T&M, FFP), and financial compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial data, conduct analysis, and present insights to stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting proposals and working with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to influence team members and stakeholders regarding financial strategy and execution.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial tools and systems (e.g. Excel, ERP systems, financial planning software).

  • Develop, manage, and track program budgets, forecasts, and schedules in alignment with program objectives.

  • Analyze financial performance and recommend actions to improve results and ensure program success.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure spending remains within allocated budgets.

  • Generate and present financial reports, forecasts, and actionable insights to program leadership and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Participate in the development and pricing of new business and on-contract proposals.

  • Act as a liaison with internal departments and external partners (e.g., subcontractors, vendors) to resolve financial and contractual issues.

  • Monitor and manage program cash flow, general ledger accuracy, and compliance with financial policies.

  • Support program audits and ensure compliance with internal processes and government/industry standards.

  • Lead and influence financial process improvements, leveraging advanced tools and techniques.

  • Prior DoD financial management experience

Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
