Job summary

Riverwood Center in Michigan seeks a detail-oriented Financial Intake Specialist to manage consumer financial intake, determine Ability to Pay, and verify insurance coverage. The role supports reception duties and maintains accurate demographic data.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, strong computer skills, typing 35 wpm, and knowledge of medical billing. Excellent communication and multitasking in a busy clinic are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of online systems and typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in a medical insurance billing office.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be punctual, organized, able to multi-task, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for consumer financial intake process and determination of Ability to Pay.
• Updates financial, demographic and QI information.
• Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Completes support staff and reception duties.
