Job summary

Riverwood Center in Southwest Michigan is seeking a dedicated professional to provide Supported Employment services to individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities. You will help clients obtain and sustain employment aligned with their recovery goals and vocational plans.

The role may involve weekend hours and requires reliable transportation. Join a team with strong emphasis on person-centered care and community-based supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related fields.
• 1–2 years’ experience helping individuals obtain employment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities to obtain and sustain employment aligned with their vocational goals and recovery.
• Actual work hours may fluctuate and include weekend hours as part of a regular work schedule.

Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities:

• Provides Supported Employment services by assisting individually with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities to obtain and sustain employment that is consistent with their vocational goals and recovery
• Actual work hours may fluctuate and include weekend hours as part of a regular work schedule

Qualification :

• Bachelor’s degree in mental health or social services, business, personnel management, vocational services or 5 years’ experience in a related area
• . One to two years’ experience assisting individuals with employment and prefer providing treatment to individuals with a mental illness
• and work independently
• . Must have reliable means of transportation for transporting consumers and maintain safe driving record
