Job summary

Riverwood Center in Southwest Michigan seeks a Registered Nurse to join a compassionate team serving individuals with behavioral health and developmental disabilities. You will perform assessments, administer medications, document in the electronic health record, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes patient education, care coordination, and advocacy, with opportunities for professional development and flexible work schedules; requires an Associate degree in Nursing

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments, administers screenings, injections, medications, and documents in the EHR.
• Collaborates with team and external providers to coordinate medical and behavioral health services.
• Provides education on medications, wellness, and health issues to consumers, providers, family members and staff.
• Assists in planning, linking, advocacy.

Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments, administers appropriate screenings, injections, medications, and documents in the electronic health record
• Collaborates with member of the team and external providers to ensures coordination and monitoring of medical and behavioral health services
• Provides education on medication, wellness and health issues to consumers, providers, family members and staff
• Assists in planning, linking, advocacy

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited nursing education program
• Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a Registered Nurse
• One to two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred experience working with individuals with mental illness
• Must possess excellent computer and interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to organize and manage several projects/tasks simultaneously and work independently
