Job summary

Riverwood Center in Michigan is seeking a detail‑oriented Billing/Intake Clerk to manage consumer financial intake and determine Ability to Pay. You will update demographic and QI data, verify insurance coverage, and support front desk tasks in a multi-site behavioral health setting.

The role requires strong communication, PC skills, and experience in medical billing; punctuality and the ability to multi-task are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of online systems and PCs, typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in a medical insurance billing office.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Punctual, organized, able to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for consumer financial intake process and determination of Ability to Pay.
• Updates financial, demographic and QI information.
• Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Completes support staff and reception duties.
