Job summary

Vercel is seeking an Engineer to lead the design and development of its Finance Data Platform, the foundation for revenue reporting, billing, forecasting, and compliance. You will architect data infrastructure used by Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Operations and mentor a growing team of engineers.

You’ll work closely with FP&A, Accounting, and RevOps to translate complex requirements into scalable systems, building reliable, auditable pipelines with Kafka, ClickHouse, Tinybird, and Snowflake.

Qualifications

• Experience building financial-grade data systems with auditable pipelines.
• Ability to translate business and compliance requirements into scalable data architecture.
• Mentor and grow a team of engineers, setting coding and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a data platform supporting revenue recognition and billing, using streaming tech to power real-time pipelines.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and RevOps to translate reporting needs into technical solutions and ensure data accuracy for reporting and audits.
• Define data ingestion, transformation, and storage guidelines focused on auditability, lineage, and data integrity; oversee ETL and warehousing.
