Job summary

Vercel is seeking an Engineer to lead the design and development of the Finance Data Platform, the foundational system powering revenue reporting, billing, forecasting, and compliance across the business.

You will partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Revenue leadership to translate business requirements into scalable pipelines using Kafka, ClickHouse, Tinybird, and Snowflake, write production-grade code, and mentor a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience building data platforms for financial or revenue-related use cases.
• Strong understanding of data governance, auditability, and compliance.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a data platform that supports revenue reporting and financial forecasting across batch and real-time workloads.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and RevOps to translate reporting needs into scalable architecture.
• Define guidelines for financial data ingestion, transformation, and storage with focus on auditability and data integrity.
• Develop end-to-end solutions across the finance data stack and mentor engineers on technical craft and governance.
• Partner with Security, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit to ensure regulatory requirements are met and data pipelines are highly available.
