Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understands the importance of providing exemplary customer service and helps meet department goals.
• Gathers and inputs patient/guarantor demographic and financial information accurately.
• Verifies benefits with payers and obtains necessary authorizations.
• Explains insurance benefits and collects co-pays, deductibles and self-pay amounts.
• Documents authorization and benefit information in the registration system.
• Assists in cashiering and cash handling according to policy.
