We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Financial Counselor to help patients understand their insurance benefits and financial responsibilities.This roleis responsible forinsurance verification, financial counseling, upfront collections, payment arrangements, andmaintainingaccuratepatient financial records.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial counseling and collectionsexpertisewith a genuine desire to help others. Because this is a patient-facing role within a behavioral health environment, we are seeking someone whodemonstratescompassion, empathy, patience, and emotional intelligencewhileassistingpatients through challenging situations.Three years of collecting experience isrequiredfor thisrole,five years is preferred.

• Review and update patient demographic and insurance information in the patient accounting system.

• Counsel patients and guarantorsregardinginsurance coverage, benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and payment options.

• Complete financialassistanceapplications and verify income and expense documentation.
