R1 is seeking a Financial Counseling Manager to lead a team responsible for uninsured screenings, Medicaid enrollment, and financial assistance programs in a fast-paced health system. You’ll develop training materials, mentor staff, track metrics, and coordinate with Case Management, Clinical Staff, and external partners to improve patient financial experiences.

Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years of experience, including at least 1 year in a management role;

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsabilités

• Support training and onboarding activities of new associates; assist with recruiting.
• Recommend updates to operating guides, job aids, and other training materials.
• Lead regular 1:1 meetings to progress initiatives and mentor staff.
• Develop content for and lead team meetings reviewing financial counseling metrics.
• Coordinate staffing coverage strategy and service line prioritization.
• Monitor and report on employee responsibilities, shift schedules, and leave coverages.
• Drive excellent customer service and assist uninsured patients with screenings and financial assistance.
