Job summary

BCA, part of the Mpac Group, is seeking a Financial Controller in Newburyport, MA. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Sales and Senior Management to ensure robust financial control, accurate reporting, and strategic decision-making while leading all plant-level accounting and reporting.

Reporting to the President, you will oversee budgeting, cash management, BOM accuracy, standard costing, and ERP initiatives, drive process improvements, and supervise the finance team in a highly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA are advantageous.
• Manufacturing finance experience; capital equipment or engineering-to-order (ETO) environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Experience leading and developing teams; effective stakeholder engagement across levels.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software; Dynamics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant-level accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
• Oversee cash management, receivables, payables, and banking relationships.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
• Manage ERP implementation, adoption, and ongoing system improvements.
• Ensure accuracy of BOMs, product costing, and standard costing systems.
• Lead month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and compliance procedures.
• Supervise and develop finance and support staff.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes and systems.
