Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller/HR Manager to undertake all aspects of financial management and Human Resource practices and processes. The financial management includes but is not limited to corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures, and financial risk management. The HR management includes but is not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, payroll, and benefits management.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller/HR Manager to undertake all aspects of financial management and Human Resource practices and processes. The financial management includes but is not limited to corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures, and financial risk management. The HR management includes but is not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, payroll, and benefits management.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, and GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements to the owners, Report Year End financial statement to the CPA
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, Monitor loans, AP, and AR
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Manage and administer employee benefits
  • Develop and manage employee relations
  • Additional Controller/HR duties as necessary

Qualifications/Skills

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percent
  • Excellent accounting software user; working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Adobe; and administration skills
  • Working knowledge of benefit plans, current labor regulations and OSHA regulations

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in basic normal working conditions as in a standard office environment
