Job summary

Pyyne Digital is seeking a Financial Controller to join our NYC office. You will lead financial strategy, modeling, and board-level reporting with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy. Ideal for an Assistant Controller ready to own a function or a Controller at a smaller firm.

You will oversee US close, billing and collections, payroll, compliance, and reporting across a growing, multi-entity organization. Flexible hybrid work from our Financial District office is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting and ownership of monthly close.
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong QuickBooks proficiency and solid spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with billing and collections in a services business.
• Payroll experience.
• Comfort operating without a large structured team.
• Attention to detail: catching reconciliations, missing invoices, duplicate charges.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting and close for US entity.
• Consolidate reporting from international entities' local providers.
• Prepare close package for CPA on tax and annual accounts.
• Billing and collections across multi-workstreams and milestones.
• Accounts payable including contractor and vendor payments.
• Run US payroll and coordinate with international providers.
• Compliance calendar management: federal/state/local filings and audits.
• Maintain monthly and quarterly reporting package; track operating metrics and cash flow.
• Expense management: corporate card program and policy enforcement.
